Genealogy Hoag Family Roots

John E Hoag

December 23, 2007

The primary purpose of this blog is genealogy. While the main surname is Hoag, I am interested in any and all descendants. I'm trying relentlessly to locate the patents of my great-grandfather, John E. Hoag who was born about 1837 in Onondago County New York. I know he was married at Smethport McKean County PA. in 1858 to Julia Ann Brockway, who was born in 1842 in Burlington, Otsego County New York. Anyone who has any information regarding this family is asked to contact me

Eva married Peter Alfred Pearson and they had my mother, Joanne Whitlock Pearson. Barbra Hoag Henderson still lives in the old homstead in Phoenix, NY. She is 65 years old now.

My maiden name was Hoag. My father and his family were from Lorraine, Ohio. Dad's name was Donald William Hoag. He passed away in Miami, Fl. 15 years ago. Could we be related?

Sharon have you tried the Brockway group. I think if you have a Brockway they would have the links. I was able to connect to the Mayflower through my great Grandmother Julia Brockway
